Chad's Ministry of Environment, IOM and CMIL Africa launched the Climate Mobility Investment Plan in N'Djamena and began co-creating the Risk Index for Climate Displacement, helping the country prevent climate displacement rather than only respond to it.

The head of CMIL Africa met donors and partners at AidEx Nairobi to present the Lab's work on climate mobility across the continent. The meetings explored opportunities for collaboration, as the forum focused on locally led innovation, anticipatory action and new financing models.

CCF finished its first call for applications in Vanuatu’s Sanma and Penama provinces, collecting 27 community proposals with three selected for funding and four added to the project pipeline.

CMIL Africa joined the 73rd Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum in Addis Ababa. There it advocated integrating displacement risk into regional early warning systems and built partnerships with IGAD, ICPAC and national agencies, several of which expressed interest in applying the Risk Index for Climate Displacement.
