Resist the Wave: Raising the Mangrove Belt and Championing Restoration in Catanduanes
Philippines · Asia Pacific · Catanduanes (Bagamanoc, Gigmoto, Panganiban and Viga)
About this project
The Resist the Wave Project, which centers on NbS aims to expand and densify mangrove areas to serve as buffers for coastal communities and to enhance coastal integrity against inundation. Also, it seeks to create economic opportunities through capacity-bridging initiatives, including the establishment of community-based mangrove nurseries that will later evolve into cooperatives and potential eco-tourism ventures.
