Drainage Master Plan for Municipality of Rodriguez

Philippines · Asia Pacific · Rodriguez, Rizal
About this project

Rodriguez sits at the foot of the Sierra Madre, where heavy rainfall, silted rivers, and undersized drainage regularly turn storms into floods and landslides that displace households in low-lying barangays. This project will produce a municipality-wide drainage master plan that maps flood and landslide hotspots, identifies priority stormwater improvements, and sets out how natural waterways can be restored to carry runoff safely. The plan will be developed with community input and is intended to guide investment over the coming years, so that flood-prone neighbourhoods become safer places to stay rather than places families are forced to leave.
